Overview

Aerojet Rocketdyne is a leader in Space Propulsion. We are seeking a proven Program Management professional to lead CCtCap Delivery and Integration.

 

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

100% - Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

  • Development of internal and external executive briefings and communication for enterprise significant, highly visible large FFP development and production contract.
  • Quickly identify resolutions to issues, strategically mitigating cost and schedule impacts.
  • Review contract language and ensure program is adhering to contract.
  • Review new contract language to identify and resolve ambiguous requirements.
  • Lead, manage, track, and ensure 100% compliance to multiple (thousands) in-process and final process prime customer inspections resulting in timely delivery of hundreds of HW deliveries to the prime customer.
  • Energize and develop 300+ team resulting in visible incremental improvements and a highly motivated team to execute top priority extremely challenging program.
  • Lead, manage, track and ensure timely execution of over 15,000 line item schedule of tasks necessary to delivery hundreds of quality products.
  • Champion, lead and ensure closure on hundreds of develop and test milestones while production and delivery of hundreds of quality products are actively in process.
  • Ensure contract baseline change management.
  • Strategically implement controls and rhythms resulting in visible improvements, timely deliveries and a motivated workforce.
  • Communicate, motivate and lead a 300+ cross functional team working several challenging tasks on multiple programs.
  • Proactively and autonomous leadership uncovering, resolving issues and strategic development/implementation of mitigations avoiding impacts.
  • Managing, developing and leading multiple large contract change proposals ($1B).

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline and fourteen (14) years of progressively responsible experience in a directly related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An advanced degree and Master’s in Business Administration is a plus. This position requires supervisory and administrative skills, including the ability to select, appraise, motivate and develop subordinates.

 

Experience necessary:

  • Experience turning red programs to green.
  • Program Management experience of large programs >$200M.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to influence lead large >300+ cross functional team.
  • Ability to quickly do multiple tasks (create and present briefings, lead technical resolution meetings, risk mitigation, customer interactions, mentoring and guiding broad leadership and technical team).

Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship). Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information. Having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

 

 

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
