The Senior Specialist, Contract Change Management Authorization will report to the Senior Manager of IT Service Management.  In this role, you will provide leadership for the contract change management function responsible for coordination for requested changes and authorization thereof to the I.T. Outsource contract to ensure financial, contractual and technical requirements are aligned and achieved. Provide financial change management authorization collaboration and tracking to include cost performance, change management, service levels and governance changes. This position can be located at our facility in Sacramento, CA or Canoga Park, CA (Los Angeles area).

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

40% - Coordinate, track and report on all change requests, from initiation, through approval and completion of change request activity, with Aerojet Rocketdyne (AR) IT and the I.T. outsource provider. Ensure all change request commitments are achieved to support closure. Track and report on all financials related to change management activities.

 

20% - Build and sustain a strong partnership with AR IT and the I.T. outsource provider, as well as other I.T. partners. Work closely with suppliers on the cost effectiveness of services.

 

20% - Identifies, catalogues and coordinates the change management authorization commitments.

 

15% - Coordinates the IT Change Management function, ensuring that contractual changes are negotiated, executed, managed and delivered timely to optimize value to AR.

 

5% - Participates in the weekly governance meetings reviewing change management authorizations.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 15 years of business/industry work experience with a broad range of exposure to various business segments and technical environments. At least 3 years of experience with strategic planning, financial analysis and client management needed.

 

US Citizenship Only Required. Dual Citizenship does not meet job qualifications. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship). Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information.

 

Competence demonstrated in working with a broad range of diverse and complicated business functions and/or units. Candidate must possess strong business acumen at the strategic and tactical level.

 

The Change Management Authorization function works with all levels of management and the I.T. Outsourcer to ensure financial, contractual and technical requirements are aligned.

 

Moderate travel may be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
