We are looking for a Quality Engineering Manager at our growing Camden, AR location. The Quality Engineering Manager typically accomplishes results through second-level managers and/or exempt specialists. This position is responsible for all projects assigned to the organizational group.
This current opening may be filled at this level as posted or at one level higher.
15% - Manages direct and overhead budgets within agreed goals or limits. Responsible for hiring employees, setting goals and objectives, providing evaluation and feedback and taking appropriate action as necessary based on results.
10% - Provides daily job assignment and direction to direct reports.
15% - Provides assistance in meeting established schedules and resolving complex technical or operational problems.
15% - Develops, communicates and implements program quality plans that comply with contract requirements, quality management standards and command media.
15% - Trains and ensures full compliance with policies and procedures related to drawing and planning release, nonconforming material control, cause and corrective action, first article inspection, engineering milestone reviews, risk management as well as other responsibilities in quality engineering and inspection.
15% - Manages participation and leadership in cause and corrective action activities, failure investigations, metrics creation and special projects to support program Corrective/Preventive Action Committees (CACs/PACs) and other management boards.
15% - Works with customers in coordinating hardware acceptance reviews, customer participation in CACs/PACs and in developing regular meetings to communicate and resolve quality issues and concerns.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and 9 years of progressively responsible experience in a directly related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
