Our Los Angeles (Canoga Park) Material Planning team is currently seeking an experienced Planner/Scheduler to accommodate current business conditions with the required skill set to managing MRP standard and non-standard jobs release. In addition they will use data from Master Scheduler to perform capacity and resource planning for assigned manufacturing areas.
This position will work directly with Master Scheduling, Operation Integrators, Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Buyers on a daily basis. This position will also be required to communicate program delivery concerns to both internal and external customers. The successful candidate will report directly to LA Material Planning Manager.
In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient release and management of purchase requisitions and manufacturing orders of engine components to support engine assembly and on time delivery. Responsibilities include the following:
40% - Plan, create, and maintain manufacturing schedules according to the Production Plan.
30% - MRP System analysis, inventory, and Item Master accuracy.
15% - Release of MBOM requirements.
15% - Processing inventory transfers, non-standard job closure, and tool order release.
Requires a Bachelor's in Business Management/Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or other Technical Degree and 10 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The work environment may require a combination of indoor and outdoor activity (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stair, scaffolding, ramps), balance (maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces), bending, reaching, handling/fingering (seizing, holding, grasping, turning picking, pinching), stooping, kneeling, crouching and ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, employees may work around variable noise levels. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. May also be required to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer. Ability to distinguish colors may also be necessary. Some employees may be required to drive between various locations within the Company facility or between locations. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
