We are seeking a Manufacturing & Production Planning Manager to join our ARDE facility in Carlstadt, New Jersey.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

40% - Plan, organize and direct the manufacturing operations consistent with company goals and objectives to attain key performance metrics and operational targets.

  • Works with Production Planning to identify requirements.
  • Assigns work through work center leads or directly to manufacturing personnel.
  • Attends daily production meetings and communicates status and issues.
  • Collaborates with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality as required to ensure process readiness.

25% - Manage a team of approximately twenty (20) manufacturing employees ensuring:

  • Policies that typically affect subordinates are interpreted and executed.
  • Operational personnel have proper training it relates to the proper set-up, handling, use of tooling and equipment.
  • Cost objectives are achieved by understanding and managing labor targets.

10% - Utilize Lean Manufacturing and 6-S concepts to continuously drive out waste and improve manufacturing performance and workplace organization.


10% - Assist in determining root cause of nonconforming and develop correction action.


5% - Participate in the process of capital equipment and facilities planning.


5% - Improve safety culture in factory by engaging with employees to identify improve.


Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and nine (9) years of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience. Experience in implementation of a manufacturing process improvement activity is desired.


US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.


Additional Requirements:

  • Demonstrated performance in factory operations including a thorough knowledge of scheduling, planning, forecasting, performance measurements.
  • Demonstrates verbal and written communication skills and the ability to lead effectively in a challenging team environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to plan, organize, coordinate, direct and control the activities of the assigned organization.
  • Willingness to be available to supervise occasional overtime work as deemed necessary by company commitment to schedule.
  • Willingness to assist in additional job duties as assigned by Management is vital.


Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
