Overview

Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking a Senior Business Operations Analyst to join our team in Redmond, Washington. In this role, you will prepare and analyze earned value and financial reports for internal and external customers and management to support major government programs.

 

This current opening may be filled at this level as posted or at one level higher.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

Working under limited general direction:

 

90% - Performs budget baseline management which includes conducting cost/schedule variance analysis and regular interaction with internal and external customers concerning all aspects of cost/schedule control.

 

5% - Assists in audits, negotiations and special reports/inquiries regarding pertinent financial procedures, techniques and projections.

 

5% - Evaluates internal processes with the objective of process improvement and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics or related field and at least 6 years of applicable experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

US Citizenship Only Required. Dual Citizenship does not meet job qualifications.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to guide others in the application of earned value principles and tools such as MPM and MS Project.
  • Must possess proficiency in a cost and scheduling environment with proven knowledge of all aspects of earned value management including planning, scheduling/cost processes, thorough knowledge of cost accounting standards, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and contracting requirements.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and computerized cost management/ERP systems.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills and the ability to operate effectively in a team environment.
  • Independent, self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects, able to prioritize to meet critical deadlines, and focus on work product quality and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with hands on approach to process improvement and effective problem resolution.
  • Ability to exercise discretion.
  • Applies creativity to work details.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.

 

 

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. Requires the ability to travel by air or auto.
