The Specialist, Program Management, is responsible for managing multiple internal programs accountable for coordinating the actions from senior program managers and functional support organizations to accomplish tasks.

70% - Manage Solid Rocket Motor (SRM) Propulsion Programs for the entire Defense Business Unit. This position will serve as the single point of contact within the Defense Business Unit and with our Defense BU customers. Accountable for scope, cost, schedule, risk/ opportunity management, including earned value management, of assigned fixed price or cost reimbursable SRM programs. Leads program team definition; work package definition and detailed program planning; incorporation of lessons learned; and program execution including direction, control, achievement of customer requirements and closeout. Leads cross-functional teams to establish program baselines and ensure contract performance. Implements technical and product strategy to meet customer needs. Programs to include SRM development programs with focus on composite materials and Insensitive Munitions (IM) approaches, as well as SRM production programs including new production and program restarts. Must be able to manage multiple programs concurrently.
30% - Leads or provides inputs to proposals, contract negotiations, statement of work (SOW) reviews and implementation of program management best practices. Provides award and sales forecasts for assigned programs and customers. Leads and supports Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) responses.
Requires a Bachelor's degree (preferably in Engineering, Materials, or related field from an accredited Engineering School) and 9 years of experience in an engineering, product development or manufacturing environment. Ability to use technical knowledge and experience to prepare program schedules using Microsoft Project and develop program plans along with Earned Value Management System and reporting experience are also preferred. Technical knowledge of solid propellant propulsion systems would be a plus for the applicant.
US Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat.
