Overview

Aerojet Rocketdyne Coleman Aerospace in Orlando, FL is seeking a System Test Intern.

 

At this location, we produce high complexity Single, Two and three stage target missiles. In this role, you will assist the system test team in developing/updating system test documentation and other system test related functions.

 

The ideal candidate is someone who is passionately curious and who wants to connect his/her education and experience with real-world business applications.

 

This intern position is year-round, accommodating a part-time schedule during the school year and full-time during breaks and summer.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

10% Update system test documentation.

10% Provide system test procedures for upcoming tests and scan completed test documentation to server.

5% Assist system test engineers with generating/processing engineering change requests (ECRs) and Notice of Revisions (NORs).

10% Assist system test team with inventory management of tooling, test equipment and support equipment.

5% Assist IPT lead and CAM with reporting system test operational status to program.

10% Assist System Test Manager with data gathering pertaining to functional duties.

50% Assist system test technicians with facility related operations.

  • Verification of certification of tooling.
  • Support equipment certification audits.
  • Pre and Post-Test checklists.

Requirements

Required skills and experience:

 

U.S. Citizenship required.

 

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

 

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited engineering program

 

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

 

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

 

Desired Qualifications:

 

  • Experience with bench test equipment (DVM, O-scope, Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer)
  • Test/Troubleshooting experience
  • Current Secret Clearance
  • Experience in handling flight hardware and ordnance
  • Experience with integration and testing of space launch vehicles and components at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station

 

 

 

Must be currently enrolled in an accreditted College or University in a related degree. GPA of 3.2+ on 4.0 scale preferred.
