Overview

Aerojet Rocketdyne Coleman Aerospace in Orlando, FL is seeking an Supply Chain Intern.

 

At this location, we produce high complexity Single, Two and three stage target missiles. In this role, you will provide desktop and network support working with a cross-functional team of engineers, program management, and functional personnel to ensure mission capabilities.

 

The ideal candidate is someone who is passionately curious and who wants to connect his/her education and experience with real-world business applications.

 

This intern position is year-round, accommodating a part-time schedule (20-25 hours per week) during the school year and full-time during breaks and summer.

 

The Supply Chain Intern is responsible for assisting the supply chain team in meeting both departmental and corporate objectives. This individual will have the opportunity to become an instrumental part of the daily supply chain activities, including reporting, analytics, purchase order creation and maintenance, pricing negotiations, and supplier management. This role will develop skills in all areas of supply chain. This intern may find him/herself engaged with other business function groups such as Supplier Quality, Planning, Production Control, Finance, or other departments. Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

  • Assist /Support Purchasing Department on a daily basis.
  • Access and navigate the Cost Point procurement system in executing purchase orders, scheduling on-time deliveries, and supplier data input.
  • Generate process and procedure document updates for critical supply chain functions.
  • Assist Purchasing Manager with reporting of objectives/accomplishments to upper management, program management, and others as necessary.
  • Interface with suppliers on delivery and pricing targets.
  • Perform data collection, spreadsheet creation, and data analysis.
  • Assist business planning team with various forecasting and analysis as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

Required skills and experience:

 

  • Intermediate computer knowledge MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (may be involved with internal and external meetings, compose inter-company communication, presentations, forms, and emails)
  • US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accreditted College or University in a Finance, Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field.

  • GPA of 3.2+ on 4.0 scale preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritize
