We are seeking a Process Engineering Specialist to join our facility in Canoga Park, CA (Los Angeles area).
The candidate(s) will be expected to perform complex business and manufacturing responsibilities involving producibility studies, manufacturing cost estimating, Make-Buy decisions, process capabilities and risk assessments, tooling design, machine loading and hardware scheduling, and developing detail working instructions. The candidate will have a strong knowledge of; (1) engineering design reviews, drawings and specifications; (2) various machining methods, tooling requirements and material handling procedures; (3) and Rocketdyne manufacturing support processes including hardware planning, risk assessments, MBOM and scheduling. Siemens NX or equivalent modeling experience, Windchill or equivalent PLM system experience, Oracle or other equivalent ERP system experience and basic manufacturing, machining, or processing/assembly experience
50% - Oversee and troubleshoot critical processes ensuring best practices for turning, milling, drilling, threading, EDM, machining, and grinding are followed.
15% - Work with NC Programmers to develop machining parameters, processing, and document best practices to support production.
15% - Perform statistical process analysis of processes.
10% - Define machine tool/specification requirements and document any process change.
5% - Perform root cause analysis and disposition discrepant hardware.
5% - Accurately report problems, solutions, and results, in concise written and oral communications. Communicate effectively between team members and customer counterparts.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineer, Industrial Technology or related disicpline and a minimum of nine (9) years of directly related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
