Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking a Manager to join our engineering Configuration and Data Management team in our Huntsville, AL location.
This position may be filled at the level posted or at the next higher level.
The selected candidate will perform assignments requiring application of Industry Configuration Management practices and principles supporting development and production environments for multiple programs.
30% - Manages the day-to-day activities of the Configuration and Data Management team. Ensures that appropriate resources are applied to accomplish assigned work in a timely manner. Maintains department’s fiscal and commitment objectives by participating in planning meetings. Performs personnel performance evaluations in accordance with Company policies and procedures. Provides effective leadership, direction and team building to efficiently accomplish assigned work.
10% - Leadership – Lead group to create alignment with company vision for efficiency and alignment. Define and implement standard work flows and foster inter-site alignment with other Aerojet sites to improve the operational efficiency and depth of the department. Define and implement growth or improvement initiatives to improve department value proposition.
60% - Perform hands-on configuration and data management duties such as:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and a minimum of nine (9) years of directly related progressive experience (or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience).
US Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
Additional Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to and knowledge of the PLM systems and processes are required.
Working knowledge of Configuration Management practices and principles and knowledge of ISO10007 and EIA649.

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. Must require the ability to travel by air or auto.
