We are bringing 800 new jobs to Huntsville, Alabama and building a state-of-the art advanced manufacturing facility where we will produce our industry-leading solid propulsion systems, and our next-generation rocket engine. Aerojet Rocketdyne seeks a Project/Product Engineer for our Huntsville, AL location. The Project Engineer will plan and perform propulsion program tasks in under guidance from more senior-level Engineers. Under general direction, you will implement design and analysis tasks, special studies, experiments, and hardware/test requirements. Working under general direction:
65% - Support Engineering teams working on solid rocket motor development and production program tasks/problem resolution, etc. Coordinate engineering work within Engineering and across other functions. Manage technical progress, risk, schedule, and cost as needed.
25% - Provide Engineering analysis/solutions to more senior Engineers and other Aerojet Rocketdyne functional organizations to support technical goals.
10% - Provide inputs to written and verbal status reports to Engineering leadership and Aerojet Rocketdyne Management. Provide input and leadership at program team meetings.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline and two (2) or more years of directly related experience. Two (2) or more years of experience with solid propellant projects is highly desired. CAD knowledge is desirable. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required.
US Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
