Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking a Senior Analyst, Quality Analysis to join our team in Canoga Park, California (Los Angeles area).


In this role, you will be interfacing with Supply Chain Material Management (SCMM), Supplier Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Engineering and NASA/DCMA customers. This position reviews, analyzes and report quality discrepancies related to SQA business process. Investigate problems; make recommendations and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

40% - Maintenance of approved supplier list (ASL) including performance of suppliers. You will assess and review 3rd party data and other audit data to determine health of supplier, make recommendations to management regarding low performing suppliers.


25% - Interface with suppliers by providing training in the Supplier Portal applications. Prepare presentation materials in support of internal and external meetings.


25% - Various support roles to SQA and QE; research and support GIDEP investigations.


10% - Support organizational metrics including Enterprise Support Plan, SQA Scorecard and department turnbacks. Provide input to department objectives and long-range quality goals. Keep current within the area of specialty in support of quality project assignments.


Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and six (6) years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.


Additional Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must have strong problem solving skills.
  • Must have very strong computer skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. Use of various computer systems to produce data, analyses and reports.
  • Candidates should have knowledge of quality and mission assurance practices and procedures to support quality systems development and implementation.
  • Quality Engineering background and experience desired.


Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
