    Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking a Senior Program Scheduler to join our team in Redmond, WA.

     

    This current opening may be filled at this level as posted or at one level higher.

    Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

    50% - Responsible for the generation of program schedules for assigned programs, and execution to meet planned program deliveries.  

    • Coordinating with Business Manager to develop Control Accounts, Work Packages, and Planning Packages hierarchy and reflecting these in the schedule architecture.
    • Work with technical team to establish logically linked tasks to demonstrate vertical and horizontal integration.
    • Coordinate with Master Production Scheduling to ensure plans are integrated, commitment dates are consistent, and durations are reasonable.
    • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management and Microsoft Project
    • Setting baseline and ensuring schedule integrity is maintained through change control
    • Provide monthly program progress status, update schedule forecast dates and logic when necessary. Ensure production scheduling is fully represented in status process.
    • Develop monthly schedule performance status reporting and RTG plans.

     

    25% - Perform monitoring and tracking of materials through the build process to ensure on time delivery of products and supporting documentation.

    • Coordinates plans and schedules with affected functions.
    • Provides assistance to program team in meeting established schedules and milestones.
    • Monitors procurement and fabrication activities for conformance to established schedules.
    • Advises program team of problems or concerns relating to conformance to the program schedules.
    • Coordinates the generation of detailed recovery schedules as required.

     

    15% Provides schedule/material status to program management and other internal or external customers.

    • Prepares charts and schedules for use in proposal planning, program reviews and other periodic briefings.
    • Provides inputs to management relating to program schedule status.
    • Provides inputs to management to ensure delivery of contractual data.

     

    10% - Other tasks as assigned.

    Requirements

    Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and at least 6 years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to analyze material consumption and project future trends required. Must be familiar with material and production control concepts and MRP/ERP (Oracle preferred). Must have good computer skills (ie: Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel, Microsoft Project). Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to operate effectively in a team environment are essential to success.

     

    US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

     

     

    Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

    Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
