    Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking a Human Resources Analyst to support our growing facility in Camden, Arkansas. This position reports to the Human Resources Manager and will have day-to-day HR generalist responsibilities.

    This current opening may be filled at this level as posted or at one level higher.

    Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

    Under general supervision and following established policies, the Human Resources Analyst performs professional assignments requiring general use and application of concepts, practices and techniques.

     

    30% - Delivers human resources services to the Camden, Arkansas operating site to assist, guide, and direct business leaders, and align human resources solutions with business needs. Conducts regular meetings with respective business leaders. Analyzes trends and metrics, and collaborates with site leadership team to develop solutions, programs and policies.

     

    20% - Provides guidance and input on organization design, workforce planning and succession planning. Identifies and conducts training needs for business units. Prepares reports and analyzes data as needed to support business unit and Company needs. Plan, organize and make presentations to diverse employee groups.

     

    20% - Executes roll out of Company HR initiatives to client groups. Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues through conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

     

    30% - Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to business leaders (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Works closely with business leaders and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. Some travel may be required.

    Requirements

    Requires a Bachelor’s degree preferably in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, Business, Industrial Relations or a related field and three (3) years of directly related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and generalist experience). 1 or more years of manufacturing industry experience, strongly desired. Advance degree preferred. PHR /SPHR Certification preferred.

     

    US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

    • Demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of human resources management, state and federal labor laws and regulations.
    • Excellent working knowledge of compensation, benefits, employee relations, organizational development, and training.
    • Strong communication and teaming/interpersonal skills; strong leadership capabilities, and ability to initiate and maintain cross-functional team relationships.
    • Ability to act independently and quickly solve problems, make decisions with a strong customer oriented focus.
    • Ability to conduct investigations and resolve complex employee relations issues.
    • Solid organizational skills, including the ability to accomplish demanding timeline objectives, managing multiple assignments and be comfortable with change and continuous improvement.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills; friendly, tactful, good negotiator, ability to influence others.
    • Strong enthusiasm and commitment to the HR profession.
    • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
    • Proficient in MS Office, including EXCEL and HRIS systems. Oracle knowledge/experience a plus.
    • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
    • Valid Driver’s license required.

     

    Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

    Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
