Aerojet Rocketdyne seeks a Manager, General Accounting (Travel & Expense) to work at our Huntsville, Alabama location.
The Travel & Expense Manager performs professional assignments where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations. The duties include managing the travel and expense reporting team enterprise wide through managing workloads, quality assurance, team communications and team training, and resolving other day to day issues that arise. Focus on complex financial system routines and issues and be more strategy oriented in managing the process across the enterprise.

30% - Manage the travel and expense reporting team enterprise wide to administer and monitor Aerojet Rocketdyne’s travel policies, guidelines, and budget to deliver efficient travel arrangements.
10% - Supervise the review and approval of employee expense reports in regards to compliance with Company Command Media and Policy.
20% - Manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs to ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
30% - Support various audit requests (SOX, internal & external, DCAA) and obtain audit rating of satisfactory or higher on all testing in regards to Travel & Expense.
10% - Continuously improve metrics for Travel & Expense and P-Card activities, reporting to senior management as required
Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in a directly related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous Supervisor/manager experience desired.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to plan, organize, coordinate, direct, and control the activities of the assigned organization. Knowledge and experience in GAAP, FAR, and SOX.
This position requires up to 20% travel to other facilities.
US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
