The Manager of Production Planning & Tooling is responsible for leading our Los Angeles site's production planning, tool design and tool engineering processes. The position will plan, organize and technically direct all aspects of the production planning and tooling processes.
25% - Serve as the interface between the program manufacturing engineers, program integrators & machine shop, and the production planning and tooling organization.
25% - Provide leadership to the production planning and tooling organizatio. Accountable for all aspects including, but not limited to, developing strategies and focusing on the execution to meet cost, quality, schedule and delivery requirements and goals.
25% - Provide short and long-range planning for production planning and tooling operations, including command media and staffing. Ensure consistency across all program of the tooling and planning strategies.
25% - Provide coaching and mentoring for career development and advancement of team members. Manage day-to-day activities of the tooling and production planning organization including bargining unit contract administration.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline with nine (9) years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
US Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
