Aerojet Rocketdyne Coleman Aerospace designs, builds and tests ballistic missile targets and launch vehicle solutions. We are currently seeking a Test Technician Manager to work at our Orlando, FL facility. We are seeking candidates that want to take advantage of an opportunity to develop their skills and grow in their profession.
The successful candidate will manage the test technician department including personnel and work assignment, making sure all support equipment is up to date, laboratory facilities are adequate, procedures are properly released, training is adequate and complete for testing to be performed, test teams are ready to test, and unit under test is ready to be tested. Additionally, the candidate will support the test engineering department including writing test plans, writing test procedure, leading test teams, performing non-conformance investigations, presenting investigation results to failure review board, presenting documentation changes to engineering change control board, coordinating testing with program IPT leads and management, etc. Must be able to operate electronic test equipment (i.e., oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, signal generators, Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, etc.) and capable of learning the operation of specialized support equipment for subsystem level testing and troubleshooting. Must satisfactorily complete ESD and flight hardware training. Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills. Solid computer skills and experience using the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook). Must have the ability to work independently and within a team environment. This position may require working extra hours and weekends, as necessary, to meet critical schedule dates.
Position also requires to travel to support test activities. Position includes working with experienced teams during test, assembly of flight hardware and assisting in the performance of their duties. May be required to develop schedules for test operations and contribute to the technical aspects of proposal efforts. Requires conceptual knowledge of technical principles, theories, and concepts within a discipline.
5% - Provides training in company processes, launch vehicle systems and related test engineering tasks.
15% - Authoring and providing direction to senior test engineers in the development of test plans and procedures.
60% - Leading and managing the test conductors department.
15% - Participating in subsystem level testing, data review, troubleshooting and corrective action.
5% - Senior test engineers in generating review packages
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: BS in Engineering and 7 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS and ABILITIES: Excellent mechanical skills and the ability to read and interpret procedures, wiring diagrams, and electrical and mechanical drawings is a must. Compliance to quality and safety policies at all times.
US Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
