    Aerojet Rocketdyne seeks a Senior Contract Administrator Analyst with government contracts experience to join our facility in Canoga Park, CA.

    Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

    Working under general direction, the Senior Analyst will support the Space Large Engine Development and Production Contracts Department of Aerojet Rocketdyne, Canoga Park. The successful individual will be responsible for proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration and customer contact activities. Candidate will work under limited supervision and follow established company policies and procedures. They will represent the organization to external customers on specific projects. The successful candidate will lead and apply expertise in preparing negotiation position and strategies; negotiate costs, price, and terms of contracts and modifications; ensure compliance with schedules for all deliverables and prepare special reports and analysis, as required. May assign work and provide direction to less senior employees and support staff.


    50% - Administer moderately complex contracts and associated change orders/modifications. Responsible for preparing a variety of reports, documentation, justification, and recommendations as directed. Evaluate terms and conditions of contracts for contractual requirements and risks. Coordinate with a multi-disciplined Program Management team for preparation of proposal documents in response to external customers proposal requests. Coordinate with Program Management team and Accounts Receivable to provide timely invoicing and payment for assigned contracts.


    25% - Monitors internal progress of contracts with program and business functions to ensure fulfillment of contract requirements. Monitors and reviews contracts for completeness, accuracy and conformance with Federal and Defense procurement regulations and company procedural requirements. 


    15% - Prepares all necessary internal reports for management and periodic reports to contract officers as required.


    5% - Assists in developing policies, procedures and practices relating to contract administration.


    Requires a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline and 6 years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


    US Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

    Desirable Qualifications:

    • Familiarity or working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation, Defense Federal Regulations (DFAR), related federal and state legislation and regulations, and the Uniform Commercial Code.
    • Prior contract administration experience within the Aerospace & Defense industry.


    Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

    Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
