Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking a Specialist Engineer to support our EEE (electrical, electronics and electromechanical) parts and radiation team. This position can be located at one of our following locations:
In this role, you will play a key role in the component engineering group supporting new and existing spacecraft propulsion programs. Proficiency in radiation effects, survivability engineering design, and test methods used to assure electronic components are compatible with operation in space radiation environments expected.
Working under limited general direction:
50% - Provide Radiation Analysis expertise.
25% - Support design teams in the selection, evaluation, and documentation of EEE parts.
15% - Lead investigations of failed components.
10% - Mentor junior team members.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field and 9 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
US Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
