    Aerojet Rocketdyne Coleman Aerospace is a world-recognized aerospace and defense leader. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join our team in Orlando, FL. This is an individual contributor role that will independently negotiate and administer complex contracts.


    This position can be filled at this level or one level higher.



    Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

    Under limited general direction, independently determines approach to objectives demonstrating a complete understanding and application of principles, concepts and practices. Performs the following type of activities:


    50% - Negotiates and administers relatively complex contracts.


    10% - Evaluates the terms/conditions of contracts to assure they comply with Aerojet Rocketdyne policy.


    10% - Provides solutions to problems involving moderate complexity.


    10% - Participates in management reviews of contracts. Conceives and plans projects involving the development of new approaches and methods to attain objectives.


    5% - Execute contracts and certificates on behalf of Aerojet Rocketdyne.


    5% - Develops and recommends Aerojet Rocketdyne policy on contract issue.


    5% - Provides input to department objectives and long-range goals. Keeps current within area of specialty in support of project assignments.


    5% - Represents the organization/Aerojet Rocketdyne as the prime contact on assigned projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordinative activity across organizational lines.


    Requires a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline and 6 years of directly related experience including experience negotiating and administering sales contracts with US Government and prime contractor customers (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).


    US Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

    Additional Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:

    • Must have experience in the aerospace industry, working knowledge of contract laws and regulations including UCC, FAR, TINA, CAS, etc.
    • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, customer focus, negotiation skills, and an ability to work effectively on teams.
    • Experience with international sales contracts and ability to understand written and oral communications in a foreign language are desired.


    Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

    Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
