We are seeking a Component Product Engineer for the development, fabrication and test of propulsion systems rotating machinery. This position will be located in West Palm Beach, FL.
This position may be filled at the next higher level.
Under general supervision and following established procedures, the Engineer determines approaches to objectives demonstrating a complete understanding and application of principles, concepts and practices.
25% - Development and fabrication support of rocket engine components using engineering and scientific principles.
25% - Translates engineering and scientific concepts from preliminary ideas through product life cycle.
20% - Interfaces with other members of project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions to meet group, organization and company objectives.
10% - Develops component-level test plans.
10% - Perform supplier integration with external vendors.
10% - Analyzes and verifies product design and performance for adequacy and reliability. Supports investigation and resolution of hardware and process anomalies and issues identified by preventative action/corrective action boards or safety initiative activities.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field with two (2) years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with liquid rocket propulsion systems desired. Experience working in an equivalent engineering design/devleopment environment is desired.

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
