We are seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer who is ready to bring his/her skills and capabilities into this exciting field. This position will be located at our facility in West Palm Beach, Florida.  This facility works a 9/80 work schedule.

     

    This current opening may be filled at this level as posted or at one level higher.

    Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

    This position will entail reliability and system safety work related to a diverse product line. Under direct supervision and following specific, details instructions and established procedures, job responsibilities will include:

     

    70% - Develop reliability and safety models/analyses for various systems and communicate results to company engineers and managers. This includes FMECAs (Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analyses), reliability predictions, subsystem hazard analyses, and range safety assessments

     

    10% - Provide design input to improve product reliability when necessary; interacting with a wide variety of individuals and teams to communicate results.

     

    5% - Design reliability test plans to qualify new product and processes, evaluate test anomalies, and ensure consistent adherence to high quality standards by application of reliability techniques.

     

    5% - Drive program compliance to Reliability and System Safety procedures and standard work.

     

    5% - Perform Probabilistic Risk Assessments.

     

    5% - Lead fault tree assessments related to product anomalies.

    Requirements

    Requires a Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering and five (5) years of directly related technical experience in engineering disciplines or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    Reliability Engineering course work is strongly preferred.

     

    Candidates must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

     

    Candidates should be self-starters and have the ability to work independently, as well as with a team.

     

    US Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

     

    Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

    Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
