    ARDE, an Aerojet Rocketdyne company, is seeking a Senior Contracts Administrator to join our team in Carlstadt, NJ. Our ARDE facility designs and manufactures pressure vessel for aerospace use.

     

    This position may be filled at the level posted or at the next higher level.

    Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

    The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of contract administration on assigned programs.

    45% - Review of proposal and proposal requirements, analysis of terms and conditions; negotiating and executing contracts.

    25% - Interact with external customers.

    25% - Interact with internal customers, program management, accounting, supplier management, finance and related functions.

    5% - Other functions as needed.

    Requirements

    Requires a Bachelor’s degree in business management or other relevant field and six (6) years of directly related experience.

     

    US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

    Additional Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:

    • Must be experienced in the administration of federal government contracts or subcontracts under a federal government prime contract and commercial contracts.
    • Experience must include contact with external customers, experience in contract negotiations and ability to identify potential export/import issues.
    • Candidate must be articulate, demonstrate superior communication, negotiation, people and organizational skills, and be comfortable and confident in dealing directly with all levels of Aerojet Rocketdyne and customer management.
    • NCMA member with professional certification preferred.

     

    Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

    Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
