The Supervisor of Planning is responsible for leading our Los Angeles site's production planning processes. In this role, you will plan, organize and technically direct all aspects of the production planning processes. The quality and effectivity of our planning is key to the success of our business. Using lean tools, this individual will improve the quality and effectiveness of our planning, and when appropriate, use and deploy visual planning and multimedia techniques to increase understanding and improve communication to our internal customers.
This position reports to the Director of Manufacturing Engineering and will be based in Canoga Park, CA.
25% - Serve as the interface between the program manufacturing engineers, program integrators and machine shop, and the production planning organization.
25% - Provide leadership to the production planning organization. Accountable for all aspects including, but not limited to developing strategies and focusing on the execution to meet cost, quality, schedule and delivery requirements and goals.
25% - Provide short and long-range objectives for production planning operations, including command media and staffing. Improve or develop standard work to ensure consistency across all programs of the tooling and planning strategies.
25% - Provide coaching and mentoring for career development and advancement of team members. Manage day-to-day activities of the production planning organization including bargaining unit contract administration.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline with (5) years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
US Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
