    We are seeking an experienced EVMS SME Specialist, Business Operations to join our team preferrably in our Huntsville, AL Our Canoga Park, California (Los Angeles area) location or West Palm Beach, FL locations may also be considered. Postion will require periodic travel to other facilites. 


    Candidate must be an expert in Earned Value Management (EVM) theory and reporting. The position serves as the focal point and site subject matter expert for EVM. This individual performs a variety of program analysis tasks using established EVM methods, tools and problem solving techniques in support of programmatic planning, evaluations and assessments, on multiple programs, with limited or no direct supervision.

    Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

    25% - Provide Earned Value Management (EVM) guidance on organizing individual programs for EVM compliance and to include the operational phase of analysis and reporting. Oversee and participate in Integrated Baseline Review (IBR) activities, develop technical and management reports, and prepare management briefings. Maintain standard program level EVMS process compliance, monitor major subcontractor EVMS reports and EVMS systems to ensure compliance with the EVMS Plan, System Description, SOW, and CDRLs. 


    25% - Provide key support in tailoring EVM for programs without formal requirements. 


    20% - Provide training to program staff on Earned Value Management principles and proper use of enterprise procedures to support an EVM compliant program.


    10% - Contribute to enterprise level procedure development/maintenance and System Description updates.


    10% - Support DCMA and/or customer EVMS audits as necessary. Prepare teams by directing them through data calls, reviewing submitted data, and supporting them through the review process.


    10% - Perform internal surveillance on programs as defined each year. Use enterprise surveillance plan and test programs against the criteria.


    Requires a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline and ten (10) years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


    US Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.


    Additional Requirements and Desirable Qualifications:

    • Evaluation experience includes determining accurate, effective, operational viability of cost/schedule data to yield predictive analysis results regarding critical path analysis, project estimates at completion, and quantifiable cost/schedule risk assessments.
    • Excellent quantitative, analytical, interpersonal, and communications skills expected.
    • Experience working with project management principles, policies, and procedures.
    • Experience working with EVM and project scheduling tools.
    • Understand and implement EVM principles, as defined by ANSI/EIA Standard-748C, Earned Value Management Systems.
    • Proficiency with MPM and Microsoft Project.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with expertise in Excel.
    • A strong willingness to be part of a team.
    • The ability to interface successfully with both business personnel and technical leads.
    • Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills.
    • Ability to adapt and succeed in a changing environment.
    • Ability to produce high quality work products under pressure and within deadlines.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly.


    Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

    Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto.
