    We are seeking a Manager, Supply Chain at our Carlstadt, NJ location. This position reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for planning, procurement, supply chain, shipping and receiving for all material, services and supplies to support production.

     

    This position may be filled at this level or one level higher.

    Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

    Functional manager responsible for successful operation of procurement and planning to ensure customer delivery requirements are achieved. Individual will have be responsibility for managing:

     

    35% - Procurement activity including raw material, services and MRO.

    • Ensure material is available to support production build.
    • Understand lead times.
    • Develop relationships with key suppliers.

    35% - Production planning of product from receipt of new contract to delivery to customer.

    • Schedule development and management of both make and buy items.
    • Maintain and report on both make and buy status.
    • Prioritization of work through the factory.
    • Coordination of work with shop supervisors.

    10% - Inventory including raw material and parts.

     

    20% - Shipping and receiving.

    Requirements

    Requires a Bachelor's degree in Material Planning or an appropriate discipline and 7 years of progressive experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    U.S. Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

     

    We are looking for a dynamic, hands-on individual with experience in procurement and/or planning in a manufacturing environment. The person must be capable of working in a fast -paced and multi-tasking environment and working with multiple departments to achieve objectives.

     

    Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

    Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
