    We are seeking a Program Manager to join our Redmond, WA office. In this role, you will support development and production programs. You will be responsible for management and contract performance of development and/or production propulsion programs. This individual will have profit/loss responsibility and will manage and direct assigned programs, which includes defining and controlling program scope, overall schedules and budget in accordance with applicable contractual and Aerojet Rocketdyne policies.

    Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

    Working under limited general direction:

     

    50% - Provides management and leadership of assigned program teams in execution of the program plan. Establishes detailed program plans including schedules and budgets and updates them throughout the duration of the program. Periodically reports to Aerojet Rocketdyne management on program schedule and financial performance status.

     

    30% - Supports the overall business/technical relationship with customers and updates them on program status. Interfaces with support organizations to ensure program tasks are scheduled, on-track and properly staffed. Provides program management guidance to cross functional personnel on assigned development and/or production programs to ensure compliance and performance on program deliverables.

     

    20% - Supports new business development efforts including on assigned programs, as well as captures and manages proposals as needed. Supports department and company improvement initiatives leading to reduced costs and improved quality.

    Requirements

    Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and 2 years of progressively responsible experience in a directly related field or a Masters Degree with 0 to 1 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    US Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

     

    Additional Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with program planning, IMS development, risk and opportunity analysis, contract change management, control account management, work package development, earned value management (EVM) and program execution for cost reimbursable and fixed price programs for U.S. Government or commercial space missions expected.
    • Demonstrated technical, financial, risk and schedule management skills to lead program design and manufacturing teams are required.
    • Experience with monopropellant propulsion technology thrusters and propulsion systems a plus.

     

    Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

    Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
