Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join our facility in Camden, Arkansas.
The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for ensuring that delivered products and/or services conform to contractual and the Company’s requirements. The SQE will work closely with their assigned suppliers on activities such as Early Supplier Engagments, First Article Inspections, Root Cause / Corrective Action activites, and audits. The SQE will also work with the assigned Contract Source Inspector to ensure that produc releases are timely and meet the expectations of the internal customers. Up to 50% travel is required.
This position may be filled at this level or one level higher
25% - Visit suppliers to review product & process issues. Interface with internal and external customers; i.e., engineering, manufacturing, supplier, procurement to ensure requirements are met. Analyze supplier processes and planning to verify compliance with purchase orders, engineering drawings, processes, specifications, etc.
25% - Visit suppliers and perform investigation and root cause analysis to drive improvements into their processes. Be accountable for assigned suppliers' performance and ensure suppliers are performing with a 100% quality rating.
15% - Be an active contributor in Early Supplier Engagments such as Post Award Reviews (PAR), Supplier Manufacturing Readiness Reviews, and Control Plan activity. Perform as the leading contributor for PAR-Lites.
15% - Work with suppliers to resolve issues with purchase order inspection packages. Investigate and report supplier quality history as requested by quality engineering or Quality & Mission Assurance (Q&MA) management.
10% - Create reporting documents to status Supplier's Perfomance, Non-Conformance History, impact to the Company's CoPQ, and other metrics as assigned.
5% - Participates in managing the supplier ratings/scorecard system and overseeing periodic meetings.
5% - Perform periodic source inspections at assigned suppliers.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality or other appropriate discipline and nine (9) years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
US Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
