Aerojet Rocketdyne (AR) Coleman Aerospace is looking for a Mission Assurance Engineer for its Orlando, FL location.
AR Coleman Aerospace is an innovative systems engineering and integration provider. Both a prime contractor and subcontractor, AR Coleman Aerospace designs and produces sophisticated ballistic missiles as replicas of global missile defense threats. AR Coleman Aerospace provides a variety of suborbital launch vehicles, payloads, and launch services.
20% - Review and approve engineering design, test, and subcontract documentation.
20% - Participate in and contribute to engineering design reviews and test readiness reviews for both internal and external stakeholders.
20% - Actively participate in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action reviews with varying engineering disciplines (i.e. design engineering, process engineering, test engineering)
10% - Implement Parts, Materials, and Process controls in an Aerospace environment, and coordinate familiarity with Components Engineering.
10% - Collaborate with Systems Engineering disciplines on system and component requirements traceability & verification, including supplier requirements verification.
5% - Assess contract requirements compliance to Industry and Government standards (e.g., AS9100, MDA MAP, MDA PMAP). Must be able to translate the information to policies and procedures governing execution.
5% - Review policies, procedures, and procurement documents to ensure conformance to requirements.
5% - Execute Quality and Mission Assurance plans or quality programs/plans and evaluate the effectiveness of said plans through review, analysis and audit.
5% - Champion the use of Quality Assurance disciplines, tools, and techniques.25% -
A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field and at least five (5) years of experience in aerospace or related fields is required. Must be able to show an understanding of multiple engineering disciplines such as mechanical, electronics, software, test, and avionics.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the SECRET level (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat.
