Aerojet Rocketdyne seeks a Configuration Management Analyst to join our Huntsville, AL location.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

Under general supervision, performs assignments requiring application of Industry standard Configuration Management practices and principles supporting development and production environments for multiple programs.

 

30% - Perform configuration management duties verifying various types of Design, Product Definition and Operations data.

 

30% - Perform verification and management of Class I and Class II engineering changes for completeness and accuracy including; configuration identification, bill-of-materials, relationships and affected documents.

 

25% - Participate in preparation for and leadership of Configuration Control Boards.

 

15% - Represent Configuration Management within cross-functional teams providing guidance and support for configuration management practices, principles, policies and procedures.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and at least 2 years of directly related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience).

 

Additional Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and processes are required.
  • Knowledge of PTC Windchill a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Working knowledge of Configuration Management practices and principles and knowledge of ISO10007 and EIA649 required.
  • CMII or CMPIC certification desired.
  • Knowledge of design, development and manufacture of mechanical and electrical systems desired.

 

May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level.  Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

 

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
