We have an immediate opening for a Quality Associate, Engineer / FOD/FOE to join our growing facility in Camden, Arkansas.

 

Under general supervision, the Quality Engineer assists with the review and evaluation of operational environments to assure compliance to site, enterprise, and regulatory Foreign Object Debris requirements. This will include the review and approval of Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, design drawings, design specifications and instruction/procedures for Manufacturing, Test and Inspection activities to assure compliance with Quality System requirements and FOD/FOE practices. In this role, you will also assist with the coordination of review of discrepant material, investigate cause of FOD/FOE defect/failure and take corrective action, as well as monitor quality trends and escalate for appropriate preventive action. Selected individual will provide input into and prepare detailed of reports and analyses, perform special tasks as assigned in support of Quality Program Objectives, and assisting with presentations to Department and Program Management and Customers as required.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

40% - Perform the assessment of Manufacturing Operating Environments to ensure compliance to FOD/FOE requirements.

 

20% - Evaluate Nonconformance activities and develop detailed Root Cause and Corrective Actions to prevent recurrence of the nonconformance.

 

20% - Prepare trend data analysis and report out to appropriate organizations on a regular basis. 

 

10% - Support continual improvement/PVM activities. Prepare and review required metrics.

 

10% - Work closely with Planners, Program Quality Engineers, and Receiving Inspection to plan activities and resolve issues.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level.  Requires U.S. Citizenship. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

 

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds (prefer the ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds); may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization. Depending on the location of the position, visual certification requirement may apply.
