We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Business Operations for our West Palm Beach, FL office.

 

The Senior Analyst will be part of a team that provides financial analysis for direct contracts including budgeting, estimates at completion, revenue recognition, forecasting, earned value and applicable analysis and reporting. This person will also participate in the preparation and presentation of recommendations to management based on financial planning data.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

Using established procedures and working under general supervision, the Senior Analyst will:

 

50% - Perform budgeting, forecasting, EAC estimates and performance measurement system status and maintenance utilizing computers/systems as required to perform assignments and to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

 

20% - Review and analyze status/progress and prepare variance analysis reports apprising management of trends and anomalies which effect performance. Prepare customer and internal reports as required.

 

20% - Evaluate, prioritize, and categorize data in various forms and formats using proper accounting principles, practices and procedures.

 

10% - Determine solutions to objectives demonstrating a complete understanding and application of principles, concepts and practices.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and six (6) years of experience in a directly related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Exposure to transactional accounting, audit or business analysis.
  • Business operations performance such as experience with cost accounting standards, performance measurement systems and command media.
  • Have familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles, earned value management system procedures and application.
  • Expereince with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and contracting requirements.

Requires U.S. Citizenship or status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
