We are seeking a Electrical PWB Design Engineer to join our engineering design team in our Canoga Park, (Los Angeles area), CA facility.
Will support Electro-Mechanical Packaging of complex electrical/electronic assemblies. Understanding of electronic packaging design for applications in Aerospace and/or military, with an emphasis on Printed Wiring Board design. Experience in design of Printed Wiring Board (PWB) and Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA).
Proficiency in the use of Altium Design.
Knowledge of Mentor Graphics Board Station a plus.
Capable of generating complete drawings set to document PWB and CCA level designs is required.
Position will support the design and development of electronics hardware, working closely with electrical circuit designers, electrical systems, manufacturing, thermal and stress analysts.
Able to work in a team environment and Strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement is desirable.

This position may be filled at this level or one level higher.
(20%) Evaluate relevant design requirements for product realization working with electrical circuit designers.
(50%) Create Printed Wiring Board (PWB) Layout designs to implement electrical circuit designs for application in demanding environments, using Altium.
(15%) Technical reviews/risk mitigation. Support other analysis functions i.e. structural and thermal as required to establish PWB design compliance.
(15%) Support PWB manufacturing vendors as required to facilitate effective PWB assembly and test.
* BS degree in Electrical Engineering plus 2 years dierctly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Demonstrated oral and written communication skills to coordinate and collaborate with local Operations, as well as distant-located Engineering organizations and customers.
* Familiarity with aerospace/defense engineering design and production processes and disciplines
* Able to read and understand engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams, and to translate PWB designer requirements into tool design rules.
* Experience with the following hardware / software technologies: Altium Designer and ORCAD.
* Knowledge of Mentor Graphics Board Station, CREO are a plus.
Will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Requires U.S. Citizenship. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
